Technical Support Associate

Headquartered in the Scottsdale Airpark, Actual Metrics is a Google Business Solutions agency. We're a small company with good industry relationships and have a solid foothold in a highly visible market. Our core business involves knowing everything possible about Urchin Software and Google Analytics, but we also provide expertise for the Google Mini and Search Appliance, Google Website optimizer, AdWords, Google Webmaster Tools, and more.

JOB DETAILS

We are looking to hire a junior-level Technical Support Associate who can pitch in and help in a variety of areas. Your primary function will be to learn how Google Analytics & Urchin Software work so you can provide support our customers, but you will be exposed to a variety of additional products and technologies (e.g. Google Mini & Search Appliance, custom dashboards, and other future releases). Ideally, we'd like to hire someone who can start with support and grow into a larger role, like consulting, engineering, or sales.

When you look at the below list of desired skills, please keep in mind that a perfect candidate would possess all of them. We're not looking for perfection -- we want someone who has some of the skills today, and the ability to fill in the missing pieces over time.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • A demonstrated ability to teach yourself new stuff
  • A technical degree (ideally CS) or general technical prowess
  • Clear verbal communication ability
  • Solid grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills (we e-mail our clients...a lot)

DESIRED SKILLS

  • HTML & CSS
  • Javascript
  • Perl, Python, PHP
  • Windows & Linux familiarity
  • Shell scripting experience
  • mySQL, PostgreSQL, or other databases
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese
  • Experience with Urchin, Google Analytics, WebTrends, Omniture, etc. a plus
  • Graphic design skills
  • College degree preferred but not required.
